Graphium weiskei, known as the Purple Spotted Swallowtail, is a rare and eye-catching butterfly found in the highland forests of New Guinea. Its dark wings are brushed with soft green and purple tones, creating a striking, near-iridescent effect—especially when seen in natural light. Small in size but rich in character, it’s a species that quietly stands out.
This specimen has been ethically sourced through responsible breeding programs that support the conservation of native habitats and biodiversity.
Classified as A quality, this Graphium weiskei may have minor imperfections that can only be seen upon close inspection with the naked eye. Although it appears nearly flawless, the small details show its natural life and growth.
It is carefully mounted by hand beneath a clear glass dome with a black wooden base. The dome measures 12 x 12 cm and provides 360° visibility, showcasing the specimen from every angle while offering protection. Compact and elegant, the dome is ready to display on any shelf, desk, or in a cabinet and adds a refined touch to any interior.
On the underside of the black wooden base, a small QR code opens the door to our Beautifly® Digital Information Center. Here, you can dive deeper—download a beautifully designed Species Information Card and learn more about the butterfly’s life, behavior, and the role it plays in Madagascar’s delicate environment. You’ll also receive your official Beautifly® Certificate of Authenticity & Sponsorship. And as always, €1 from your purchase goes directly to wildlife conservation work.
This Purple Spotted Swallowtail is a rare small yet vibrant piece of natural beauty.
